Read today’s chapters 😁
Evie hasn’t picked a victim YET but, judging by the animosity and fascination with Saint, it’ll be Saint 🤗 Having a hard time taking Saint seriously… A man so rakish to be chairman of the board?!
- Surprised but pleased Evie and her friends make up rules 😊 Have yet to pick victims 😏 Totally missed the kiss 😂😇 I’m sure there’ll be more 🤞🏼 Siblings stirring up trouble 😏 No remark on the narration 🤷🏽♀️ But, a part of me, doesn’t want to understand 😂😇
- Also want to finish soon! Anyplay really does have chapter breakdowns 😁 Also reading Twisted Love ❤️ Waiting for the rules of conduct to kick in (is that the premise of the series?) if so 🤗 Mustache spinning villains 🥸 😂🤣 good imagery!
- 2nd the theory where Evie finds out Saint is selling the orphanage so Evie uses the list on Saint. The fact it’s just a theory tells me the plot is SLOWLY moving along AnD not completely original 🤔 Not too familiar with Byron so 🤷🏽♀️

Saint flirts with Evie 😏 meet Evie’s mother 😂 Evie working for orphanage 🤫😂 Saint wants a kiss 😘 Evie to kiss Saint 😘⚾️ The ending to today’s chapters were unexpected but I can see it can lead to more in the plot (and more fun 😂) Interesting role reversal (h usually kidnapped) 🤔
- The plot twist 🤯 Victor is a controlling influence in her life 🤬 Why not set boundaries?! Anyone care to explain to me? 🙏🏾 BONKERS forreal!

In this section, Saint and Evie consummate 😏 Not entirely sure how Saint was released… Saint’s plans to blackmail Evie for a repeat 😏 not sure how I feel about it though… The chapter breakdowns are conveniently placed for discussion 😏 With a blackmail ploy in play, does that mean lessons are out?
- Imprisonment here is a way to indicate power, with it gone, we’re back to patriarchal structure of it… Imprisonment not cool but as plot device I like it 😍 Recs where a heroine imprisons the hero? We’re at a crossroad I think 🤔 The author can write the plot more towards blackmail (traditional) or the memory of the kidnapping (new power dynamics)
- Any book after LOS will be missing something 🤷🏽♀️ Agreed Saint 👎 feels harder to root for him… I did feel sympathy when he showed his lonely side though…
Friday
Realized may have blogged at an incorrect time 🤷🏽♀️ but regardless we’re reading to the end of the book. This season, I’ve been reading more blue stocking heroines 🦸♀️ (thanks to SBU 😁). Victor showing some recognition of Evie’s networking prowess (finally!) But this will only end when she’s married.
