Been wanting to read more IAD, missed the readalong 🤦🏼♀️ but #darkromancereadathon seemed a good time 👍🏽 I’ve read book #4 (Dark Needs At Night’s Edge) in October (reading blog https://listenwirhprecious.com/2021/12/12/wicked-deeds-on-a-winter-night-reading-blog/). Reading that book intrigued by Mariketa & Bowen 🤔
Chapter 6
Still have questions 🙋♀️ but believe Emma is Lachlain’s mate (customary lykae-vampire conflict there) who he smells when she visits Paris. Going to Scotland, but the horde is looking for her 😱 back home in Louisiana 🧐 Know the lykae-vampire dynamic will pose a problem later. I think 🤔 Kresley Cole has a thing for shower scenes (one in Dark Needs At Night’s Edge too).
Chapter 18
While reading Dark Needs At Night’s Edge, wondered about the Valkyrie 🧐 Definitely learn more about them in the latter part of this section 🙌🏽 Vampire 🧛♀️ and werewolf 🐺 lore more common, so learning more about the Valkyrie 😊 Knew Emma would get turned on feeding off Lochlan 😏😍☺️🤣
Chapter 28
In this section, Emma & Lachlain consumate their relationship in a mate ritual, might have to reread because I’m not completely sure of the events before 🤷🏽♀️ But I did catch Emma tricking Lachlain and 👊🏼 him to get away 😝😂
Summary: Lachlain releases himself from imprisonment when he senses Emma, his mate.
