Book: Her Wicked Marquess by Stacy Reid
Joined on 3/2/21. Facilitators and group were very nice and welcoming, excited to join the club ππ½ Have previously read the prequel, My Darling Duke, so I thought itβd be easy to slide in… Boy was I wrong…
Day 2 (Wednesday) Chapters 10-15.
Thought itβd be a piece of cake being a re-read and having reading notes. Initially planned to read over my notes and see which comments correspond to which chapters. But I accidentally erased them…
Back to chapter 1. I planned to read to chapter 15. Before I commented Iβd look over the nice chapter summaries on our group thread, kindly provided by one of the facilitators.
Encouraging messages on my thread from my fellow members! ππ½ Still 3 chapters to reach daily goals to keep up with the read-along, but determined to participate tomorrow π
Day 4 (Thursday) Chapters 15-20
Finally all caught up! π€ Feel I can finally join the conversation BUT had to premise that I was unfortunately behind on the thread. Felt good to post ππ½ Finished the book! Rated it the same as the first time BUT the book club did help me better understand an aspect of the plot! π
MED scare! π± Ran out of Xarelto… For anyone with experience with strokes, Xarelto is a blood thinner. Itβs meant to thin my blood so a clot doesnβt form. I am hypercoagulable, meaning my blood spontaneously forms clots. I took a 15 mg tablet, usually I take 10 mg. A common side effect is bleeding π©Έ, on 20 and 15 mg my nose would bleed. Fortunately, we found one. Not going to lie, the thought is scary. Iβm on Xarelto for life.
Day 5 (Friday) Chapters 21 – Epilogue
I woke up to a nice suprise π My godmother and goddaughter came over π Then for other news…Caught up on thread. Find itβs easier to reply as comments come in. The comments by the book club help to better illustrate aspects of the plot. Enjoyed reading our thread! ππ½ it had great discussion! π€
Watched the clubβs IG live with the facilitators! Enjoyed it β€οΈ Helps connect with its members and sheds light on the plot ππ½ Also, nice to feel more familiar π Marked the end of the read-along for me π€
My sister kindly picked up my new prescription of Xarelto today π€
