Admittedly, not super interested in reading this… But, my book club, which is, is one I really enjoy and trust! Love that is uses the readalong format! The discussions are really good 👍🏽 They catch, and point out, details I miss, all the time! So based on that I’ll join in 😉
Based off the Amazon summary, there’ll be a jilter groom, which sounds fun 🤔 Its friends to lovers, which I love ❤️
Got the audiobook through Anyplay so that’s how I’ll read it!
Chapter 1 – 6
This follows pretty well after Window Shopping 🛍 The butt scene was hilarious 😆😂 Didn’t really feel until after that Elijah was so affected by Addison until after that scene 🧐 This does read well 👍🏽 I, also, didn’t know much going into this, so I’m unexpectedly impressed 👍🏽 Elijah or Aiden? What romance reasons am I missing? 🤷🏽♀️ Might have to reread the ornament scene 🤦🏼♀️ Don’t remember listening to it… Aiden’s resilience 👏🏽 Him being jilted make wonder 💭 🤔 WHY? Like that Neomi isn’t villainized 🦹♀️
Not sure I understand getting an ebook on my kindle through the library… Help please? 🙏🏾
Chapter 7 – 12
In this section, we get the 1st sex scene. Listening to the audiobook… Was worried about it, but it wasn’t that bad… Officially into ‘it’s complicated’ territory 😱 Not sure this can be entirely categorized as friends to lovers 🤷🏽♀️ but they pine/long for each other 🧐 🤨 Got glimpses of Addison and Elijah are territorial with each other 😂 Elijah acknowledges they’ve been drinking, want to talk about it, which I 100% agree with 👍🏽 Maintaining a healthy relationship as friends after sex 🤔 Interesting a house swap is thrown in the mix 🤔 Addison decides to let Elijah go 🥲

This is part of why I love surrounding myself with pictures 🕵️♀️ Not saying it can lead to sex, but it was 🔥 then 😂 Sick bed/caretaking scenes ♥️♥️♥️ Elijah masturbation inspiration 👍🏽😂 I feel freedom is commonly explored as a theme 🤔 Seeing how characters are billionaires, rock stars, etc. privacy is constantly explored 🤷🏽♀️
Chapters 13 – 18
This section was 🔥 and explores the line between lovers and friends 🤔 Understand Addison’s insecurity, hard to tell being a rebound to the real thing, Addison and Elijah put in work (and have more sex 😏) But I think that’s where romance gets it 👍🏽 the sex scenes move the story forward 🧐
Granted got lost on the thread 😱 so things may be unaddressed 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Elijah is the opposite of what I look for, but I like him 😂
Didn’t know this was TB’s favorite amongst her books 🤔
That’s why I thought I’d like contemporaries less 👆🏼, but I find I like them 😂
Kayaking in memory of her grandmother felt unexplored…
Appreciate how there’s no rape or sexual assault in TB’s books 😁👏🏽

Chapters 19 – 24
Understand Elijah’s worry. Fearing the safety of lives ones is understandable. In a way, I find it nice 😊 Neomi back in town, knew it would happen 🤔 Preston’s existence in this story is to serve as plot device 😂 Uses Elijah’s jealousy 😤 There are a good amount of sex scenes 🔥 On a desk, against a cabinet 😂 The “I love you” scene was heartbreaking 💔 Feel for Addison. She’s already insecure about Neomi… this too?! Don’t think Elijah doesn’t care for her deeply, but that scene…

- Revisiting the role of public opinion 🤔 Understanding love languages 👍🏽 I agree ☝🏽 Neomi needs to explain. Elijah, being a politician, makes it impossible to keep their relationship just them.
Chapters 25 – Epilogue
End of book 📖
That was a pleasant read 😁 Lots of sex 😂 The river scene made for a good 3rd act conflict 👍🏽 The truth between Addison and Neomi 😯 Good segway into book 2 🤔 Elijah proposing in the epilogue 👏🏽 This book wasn’t too deep, which I enjoyed 😄
