Monday: Prologue – 5
Liked It Happened One Summer, so wanted to read more of the Bellinger sisters 🤗 Already met the hero in It Happened One Summer, and I loved Fox 🦊 then 😏 Glad we get to expand on Hannah-Fox 🙃😁☺️
Setting the scene. 6 months after It Happened One Summer . The vibe in this one will be friends to lovers 💜 Fox 🦊 For a more low-key personality, like Hannah > Piper 🧐 🤨 but again they’re both rich 🤑 which I was I was 😂 Sergei & Hannah & Gox 🤔 love triangle? Enjoyed the girl talk with Opal at the end of this section 👏🏽 The prospect of fake dating 👏🏽 just spells out FUN. Even though its an overused trope, I find it 😍 Convenient (anf fun) Hannah’s getting made over the night Fox comes home 🏡😍

Thank you 🙏🏾 The prologue got me on the hook 🪝 too! The tumble on the bus 🚌 love triangle? Like 👍🏽 the idea 💡 of fake dating > love triangle 🤔 Fox’s image of himself 🧐 especially after he has seen how others see him 🥲 it brought his character to Earth for me 🌍 Agree, Kate is a supporting actress too 😁 Freckles & Peacock 🦚 ♥️ Fox made his guest room more homey ♥️ Bridging the gap between friends and lovers is ALWAYS hard. Interesting 🤨 being over-shadowed by a place.
Tuesday : Chapter 6 – 11
This section was where they kiss 😘 👏🏽 Hannah is starting to become the leading lady of her life (to Fox’s 😍). Fox 🦊 is feeling the forbidden-ness of pursuing a relationship with Hannah, but he can’t deny his attraction. See Sergei grow in his presence (watching at the party) Wonder when he’ll declare himself? Getting the impression 🤔 Know that’ll add to Fox’s insecurities, showing more of how he perceives himself 🥲 For someone seemingly confident, he’s insecure 😕 Fox’s effect on Hannah 😂 Watches her appreciate herself 😏 With Hannah, Fox subverts his impression of himself 😍😇
Wednesday: Chapters 12 – 17
Fallen off a bit since falling behind 😂😇 But Fox and Hannah growing more intense, and not in a lusty way. Enjoying the steps they’re taking 😁 Some may say their relationship lacks passion, but I don’t see how being comfortable and secure is a bad thing 😊 I like their dynamic ♥️ Especially love 🥰 that Fox brought Hannah around his mom. The relation between Fox and his mom is bitter sweet… Fox 🦊 is falling for Hannah and wants to be a better version of himself 😍
Thursday: Chapters 18 – 22
1st intimate encounter really got us to know them as established friends 😍 The Sound Garden 🪴 scene 😍 Got Hannah and Fox 🦊 🔥 so they couldn’t wait any longer. How far would Westport be then? 🧐
Friday: Chapters 23 – Epilogue
Not a fan of Fox’s insecurities, but, at the same time, I get it. This check-in is actually taking place at the beginning of Chapter 24. Because I forgot to 🤦🏼♀️ Just goes to show I’m enjoying the story 😁 Eager to get back into it 🙌🏽 This section saw Hannah and Fox taking on their inner leading lady 👏🏽 Fox may see Hannah is sacrificing to be with him, but Hannah may see she’s embarking on new adventures, off the beaten track 🙌🏽 Just another way to look at it 🤔 Piper and Brendan seem to see Fox differently.

Fox 🦊 is plagued by societal impressions, including his mom 🥲 That’s the main barrier between Fox and Hannah (except geography 😋). After a much-needed talk with Charlene, Fox begins healing ❤️🩹
