The Bride Test Reading Blog

Before I begin:

Part of what I read is dictated by availability

This reading blog won’t go live until after 4/21/22

For some reason, my current audiobook wouldn’t work 🤷🏽‍♀️

Topaz has more of a time crunch

Chapter 6

The set up for this story is funny 😄 😂 Topaz also has a mail order bride element, but they’re different 🤔 Asperger’s can cause an individual to be “socially awkward, kind of like a fish 🐠 out of water. So a mail order bride with language barriers and different social norms can identify with their struggle 🤔 🤨

Chapter 17

Khai and Esme growing closet 😍 Khai obviously protective over Esme 🤬 Wonder when Esme will tell Khai about Jade, I’m not a big fan of secrets 🤫 Timely 1st intimate scene 🤔 Esme’s 🤬 now. Kwan helped to move their relationship along! 🤗 Interesting how Khai’s chronic condition isn’t mentioned too much 🤔 Kind of makes me think it isn’t as big of a deal as I was led to believe 🤔

End of book 📖

The romance was cute but Khai’s autism wasn’t addressed as much at the end of the story 🤷🏽‍♀️ Great start 👍🏽 I’d say this was ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️.5 for me, which was still an enjoyable read for me ♥️Asian American 🇺🇸 representation ✌🏽
