Prologue – Chapter 4
Not that long 😊😂😇 Listening is just so much faster 😂 But the ebook does let me copy and paste 💡 so no typos 🤔 😏 That’s the (-) of audio, spelling can be 🤬😂 Like Jessica 👍🏽 Understand Sebastian has had a hard life 🥲 The dynamic between them 🤬 animosity 🤔 Totally get the impression Bertie-Jessica were handfuls as kids 🤔😂 Hilarious there’s an orgy in this section 🤣 The cafe ☕️ 🙃🤣 where Jessica essentially starts a rumor of her & Dain 🤫😂

My 1st blue-stocking 🤓 🙌🏽 So thankful for the group and SBU ♥️ Ahead on the chapters, almost done ✅ Must admit, can’t remark on the writing ✍️ but Dain’s back story 🥲 As someone bullied (midget 🤬), know it can be scaring + being abandoned by your mom and be strained with your dad 💔 Liked 👆🏼 how it was compared to The Duke And I 👏🏽 I see it now! The gloves 😍 Unexpected but I’m here for it 😁 Time on page with Jessica & Dain 😊 Look forward to seeing more 😍 These are points from the thread I remember 😂😇
- The datedness didn’t pick up on my radar (thankfully 😁). Gloves 😍 Dain speaking Italian 🇮🇹 I like being in France 🇫🇷 Orgy 😂😇 I usually enjoy the audiobook (can’t say anything contrary 🤞🏼 otherwise can only read ½ chapters/day 🧐 Usually pick up more on rereads 🧐
Chapters 5 – 8
Jessica and Dain are unexplainable attracted to each other 😍 Dain speaking in Italian 😍 Jessica shoots Dain 😂🤣 And that’s how they are to be married 😇 I have a feeling Esmont will continue to be in the story 🤔 I can see the kernels 🍿 The shooting was hilarious 😂🤣
- As always 👍🏽 summary 😁 Thanks for spelling out Esmond and Vawtry 👆🏼 names are always tricky on audio 😊😂😇 The fact Jess shoots Dain 🔫 😂🤪 Exampale of a hero pushing a heroine’s buttons but then he feels bad 😂😇😛 I’d wear a “say your prayers” shirt 👚 😂😇 Really appreciated the group discussion good 😊 hyping me up 😂😇 binged the book so already done ✅
Chapters 9 – 12
Jess and Dain are wed in this section! 😂 Dain drank on the day of their wedding 😇😂 so they haven’t consummated on page 😋
- Jessica is more familiar with Dain now 👍🏽 I get the Gilmore Girls reference 😁😉 Being in Jess’s head when Dain believes otherwise 😂😇
- An introspective look at oneself is a believable plot device 🤔🤨 Reading in the library 🥰 Appropriate for a book club 😂😇 Wedding night 😂🤬👊🏼🥴 Wish Genevieve was in the story more 💡 Didn’t know Genevieve was a villain 🦹♀️ before! Complete 180! I like the idea of Summer Of Sequels! 🥰
Chapters 13 – 16
In this section, they consummate the marriage 😇 and bare the depth of their feelings for each other 🥰 Wish got to see more of the wrestling 🤼♀️ match… and 😏😂 to an early escape 😇 Knew Vawtry would come back into play 🤔 but just didn’t anticipate that coming 🤯 Charity is flawed. Her part in the plot was unexpected 🤔
Chapters 17 – 20
Dain takes in Dominick 😍 The resolution between Voltry and the icon felt lack luster
- Fatherhood plotline > secret 🤫 baby in my opinion 🤔 Jessica handled it well 🙃😁 Kind of felt the end was rushed too. But I felt where all the characters ended up was satisfying 😊 👍🏽
End of book 📖
Was a big fan of Jessica throughout the book 🙌🏽 Dain was damaged… felt he was unlikeable and unlovable 🥲 because that’s what he grew up thinking 💭 Their love-making scenes weren’t too memorable but the banter was great 👍🏽 Liked them but not sure I loved them 🤔 Every reading experience is easily influenced by mood, and so this didn’t hit the spot but was still enjoyable 😊
