Friday

Decided to prepare my books 📚 Realized the sample version of How The Duke Stole Christmas ebook wouldn’t let me jump around but, fortunately, I got the audiobook on Anyplay 👍🏽 It’ll be chapter 29 😉 Heiress Alone is now not on Goodreads 🥲 Primed the ebook for Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night 😉

Saturday

Determined to get through my holiday TBR, so will start a little early 🤷🏽‍♀️Still reading Her Wanton Wager and One Night Is Never Enough, but eager to start Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night for #BangingThroughTheSnow and HRReadathon (check out my blog post for HRReadathon)

Also decided won’t be putting #BangingThroughTheSnow on my Instagram story because, as awesome 👍🏽 as the name, its not something I want my nieces and nephews to see

But finishing chapter 14 of One Night Is Never Enough first 😉 Made changes to my # TBR, changed A Mistletoe Christmas to Stacy Reid’s “Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night” from It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Scandal. But need to read My American Duchess by Eloisa James too. Found the audiobook so “Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night” after I make progress 😉 Also see Holiday 2021 reading (link to come)

Sunday

Resumed reading! Cam up with a new plot denotion: ⚾️. Since I like rereading those scenes 😋

But I’ll resume A Tale Of Two Cities by Alexandra Warren. We go back to The Max then Aspen gets picked up by Orlando 😁 They go to Jackie Robinson Park 😏⚾️⚾️⚾️ Tried to keep scene descriptions vague, intended to help me 😉 ⚾️⚾️

Will be reading (blogging and sharing more 😂

Sunday

Resumed reading! Cam up with a new plot denotion: ⚾️. Since I like rereading those scenes 😋

⚾️ – kiss 😘

⚾️⚾️ – hand/mouth 😋

⚾️⚾️⚾️ – home run

And we left of at ⚾️⚾️ in Aspen’s hotel room 😏 Realized I never read before the part where they first got to Aspen’s hotel room 🤔 so glad I went back 2 chapters 😉 Appreciate how the plot is easy to follow 👍🏽 A Tale Of Two Cities is 5 novellas: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Valentines day. After this holiday season, plan to have read 4/5 novellas. So far Thanksgiving is connected to Halloween by Aspen and Lincoln being old high school classmates 🤔 How will the others connect?

After

I don’t read many contemporary, language is something I note. I understand this prose is true to the culture it’s based in, but I don’t use that language. But the language I use that aligns with the prose, made me laugh 😂 The storyline was fairly predictable – celebrity comes home for the holidays and falls in love 😍 You get what’s to be expected 😁😇

Planning to time my reading with the Historical Romance Readathon: Holiday Edition for A Wallflower Christmas 🎄

Adding Lady Sofia’s Christmas With by Grace Burrows, A Mistletoe Christmas by by Eloisa James & Christi Caldwell & Janna MacGregor & Erica Ridley, A Mistletoe Kiss by Eloisa James in A Mistletoe Christmas, and Heiress Alone by Sophie Jordan

Majority of these 👆🏼 are novellas 😉

The HR Readathon: Holiday Edition post should go live before this one! 😉

Paused ⏸ for another book 📖🤣 Not anything new with me 😇

Might just at to my TBR 😂 https://youtu.be/7DYOEHNQ-8Q at 6:57 Stacy Reid’s It’s Beginning To Look Like Scandal out December 13! 😁 She wrote one of my favorite books 📚 (My Darling Duke) 😉

It’s after Thanksgiving so decided to change up my TBR a bit. Finish A Tale Of Two Cities, the thanksgiving novella then move onto Walking In A Witchy Wonderland then A Tale Of Two Cities (Christmas & New Year’s Eve) 😉 The collection holds 5 novellas, after these holidays I’d have read 4/5. Not your typical series that’s connected by siblings. In here, Aspen and Lincoln are old high school friends. How are the subsequent novellas connected 🤷🏽‍♀️ Just figured out page length!

Halloween – 74 pages

Thanksgiving – 97 pages

Christmas – 76 pages

New Year’s Eve – 59 pages

Valentine’s Day – 103 pages

Monday

Paused ⏸ reading holiday romance for the time being 🤷🏽‍♀️ Excited to resume! Lots of holiday romances to get back to. For my upcoming readathons:

  2. A Wallflower Christmas by Lisa Kleypas (ebook)
  3. Heiress Alone by Sophie Jordan (ebook + audio)

Tuesday

New day, same book 😂 Still reading Lady Sofia’s Christmas List first! Have the ebook Read up to Chapter 4 (17% of the book). Will resume tomorrow. Jumping to my audiobook of My American Duchess.

Wednesday

Resumed Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish. Found the audiobook on Hoopla but it doesn’t let us skip chapters 🤷🏽‍♀️ Reading is going slowly (1 chapter today)

Thursday

Realized I may accomplish my prompts with fewer books 👏🏽

Trapped In The Snow and I Smell Snow with Lady Sophia’s Christmas Wish by Grace Burrows 👏🏽

Since I’ve found Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish on audio, starting a new read today 😉 Stacy Reid’s Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night from It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Scandal, which I’m excited 😊 😬 for 🤗 I felt a push since 2 of my favorite bookstagrammers were talking about Stacy Reid 😁 Sometimes I feel social media talks to me 😂 Realized today, my usual Sunday reading blog-book review-life update combination might not be fone this week 🥲 but it’s okay 👌🏼 because my Historical Romance Readathon: Holiday Edition and Banging In The Snow posts should go live eventually 😉

Realized since I’m not doing a reading blog (too short) and book review, I’ll take notes 📝 here. It’ll just be characters and places (for me too 😋) 👍🏽 shorter chapters

Friday

So I must read: Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish by Grace Burrows, Wicked Deeds On a Winter by Stacy Reid, A Wallflower Christmas by Lisa Kleypas, and Heiress Alone by Sophie Jordan from How The Duke Stole Christmas.

Resumed Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish by Grace Burrows on audio (to rest my eyes 😋)

Saturday

Started Heiress Alone by Sophie Jordan in How The Duke Stole Christmas. Because the ebook chapters aren’t too long, switched between this and A Wallpaper Christmas by Lisa Kleypas.

Again, took notes 📝 on characters and places 😉 Started with Chapter 1 of Heiress Alone then jumped to the prologue of A Wallpaper Christmas. Did that a bit before committing to Heiress Alone on audio 🎧 This story is Chapter 30 in How The Duke Stole Christmas 🤔
