⛔️ ⚠️ Look familiar?! 😋😉😇😘 Copy and pasted some parts in 👇🏼
Read a lot, so might have more related posts 😉😋
I love the holidays! ♥️ Already started planning for it 😂 I figured I’d share my TBR then blog as I read, then maybe wrap up 🤷🏽♀️😂
Love the planning process ♥️😍 Love making lists (like Santa 🎅🏽😂😇), tables, charts, etc. So, to start, had some books I was waiting to get to (Walking In A Witchy Wonderland, A Wallpaper Christmas, A Tale Of Two Cities) that I’ve been itching to get to. Then I asked for recommendations 🙏🏾 Which was very helpful 😉 The TBR is still a work in process (WIP)
Like the structure of readathons, but 🤷🏽♀️ if there’s any coming up. And this blog is meant to bring you along with me. So this is how it came to be structured how it is.
Realized while writing my ‘Bang In The Night 🌃’ post (linked 👇🏽), that I enjoy writing what I read in a flexible manner 😉
Bang In The Night 🌃
Once my TBR is finalized, I’ll include it 👇🏽! (Like incorporating graphics 😂)
Similar to my Bang In The Night blog post (https://listenwirhprecious.com/2021/11/02/bang-in-the-night-%f0%9f%8c%83/), something like this 😉
Finalized my TBR 11/3/21! Still 2 books from starting 😂 Like to have them queued 😉
A Tale Of Two Cities by Alexandra Warren
A Match Made for Thanksgiving by Jackie Lau
Mating The Huntress by Talia Hibbert
Christmas/December 🎄 🎅🏽
A Tale Of Two Cities
Walking In A Witchy Wonderland
A Wallflower Christmas
The Trouble With Mistletoe by Jill Shalvis
Tried to be realistic 😂 Takes me about 1 week/book 😉 Not ready to start yet, still reading From Duke Till Dawn, then The Highwayman, before I can start
I’ll read them in this order:
- Mating The Huntress by Talia Hibbert ✅
- A Tale Of Two Cities by Alexandra Warren (Thanksgiving) ✅
- A Match Made for Thanksgiving by Jackie Lau
- Mistletoe Christmas by Eloisa James, Cristi Caldwell, Janna MacGregor, Erica Ridley ✅
A Tale Of Two Cities by Alexandra Warren are multiple holiday novellas, I’ve already read the Halloween 🎃 one here 👇🏽
Tried to put more Halloween-y reads up top and more Christmas-y reads toward the bottom 😉
Realistically, can’t start this until after The Highwayman and The Earl Takes All 😉
I’ll read them in this order:
- Walking In A Witchy Wonderland
- A Wallflower Christmas
- A Tale Of Two Cities (Christmas & New Year’s Eve)
- Keeping Christmas by Brandy Shaw
Started it on a Wednesday with Mating The Huntress because I’ve still got Halloween feels 😋 This is my 1st Talia Hibbert. 👏🏽 This novella has been recommended to me multiple times 😋
Reading sprints at 11 am! 👏🏽 Love reading sprints! Reading more Mating The Huntress!
Spent the day “reading” got to Chapter 5, 55% through the ebook before switching to A Wonton Wager by Grace Callaway on audio. Got to Chapter 8 21% through the audiobook 😉
Resumed reading Mating The Huntress by Talia Hibbert . I think I’ll do what I did yesterday 🤔 read Mating The Huntress then switch over to A Wonton Wager on audiobook tonight. 😁
Got my flu shot 💉! See my post for it!
Eventful day 😁 with little reading 😂 But I think I needed that…
Resumed reading Mating The Huntress, maybe I’ll finally finish today 😂 Early thanksgiving lunch 🙂 with my family ❤️ Day hanging out with my partner’s family ♥️
Woke up early and discovered how to add links onto Instagram stories! It could revolutionize my Instagram Story Game! 🤗 Finished-reading Mating The Huntress,, then got to make my Goodreads review (which I love doing)
Realized after the fact, the quotes I love aren’t here, they’ll be here 😉👇
Next up! A Tale Of Two Cities by Alexandra Warren the Thanksgiving novella! Enjoyed the Halloween 🎃 one!
Still unsure how I’ll blog novellas 🤷🏽♀️ Think I’ll blog before and after. Still not sure if I’ll write a formal book review.
I’m afraid 😱 of saying too much!
Read Amazon synopses: For actress Aspen Watson, all it takes is a trip back to her hometown for Thanksgiving for her to realize that sometimes home can be where the heart is in more ways than one.
Not much information there but, even though Thanksgivingis a problematic holiday, I love what it stands for.
This holiday is far from being about me, but I had my stroke 11/27/2017 almost 4 years ago. So it’s hard to not share personal experience. Having had a stroke makes you grateful and appreciative!
From the synopsis, think the story is a holiday small town romance. Know the story takes place in 2 cities. I do enjoy small town romances! 🤗
See my Goodreads review in the event I have a reaction in between!
According to my kindle, the novella is 10 chapters, with the collection being 392 pages. Also see my Goodreads review!
Again quotes I’ve inadvertantly missed are here (https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE3OTU4NjY4ODYzNDcxMDQ3?utm_medium=copy_link)
Finished the chapter I left off on, then went back to chapters 🤦🏼♀️😂 because I felt like I was missing something 😂
Determined to get through my holiday TBR, so will start a little early 🤷🏽♀️Still reading Her Wanton Wager and One Night Is Never Enough, but eager to start Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night for #BangingThroughTheSnow and HRReadathon (check out my blogs for them 🙏🏾)
Also decided won’t be putting #BangingThroughTheSnow on my Instagram story because, as awesome 👍🏽 as the name, its not something I want my nieces and nephews to see
But finishing chapter 14 of One Night Is Never Enough first 😉 Made changes to my # TBR, changed A Mistletoe Christmas to Stacy Reid’s “Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night” from It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Scandal. But need to read My American Duchess by Eloisa James too. Found the audiobook so “Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night” after I make progress 😉
But I’ll resume A Tale Of Two Cities by Alexandra Warren. We go back to The Max then Aspen gets picked up by Orlando 😁 They go to Jackie Robinson Park 😏⚾️⚾️⚾️ Tried to keep scene descriptions vague, intended to help me 😉 ⚾️⚾️
Resumed reading! Cam up with a new plot denotion: ⚾️. Since I like rereading those scenes 😋
⚾️ – kiss 😘
⚾️⚾️ – hand/mouth 😋
⚾️⚾️⚾️ – home run 😂
And we left of at ⚾️⚾️ in Aspen’s hotel room 😏 Realized I never read before the part where they first got to Aspen’s hotel room 🤔 so glad I went back 2 chapters 😉 Appreciate how the plot is easy to follow 👍🏽 A Tale Of Two Cities is 5 novellas: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Valentines day. After this holiday season, plan to have read 4/5 novellas. So far Thanksgiving is connected to Halloween by Aspen and Lincoln being old high school classmates 🤔 How will the others connect?
I don’t read many contemporary, language is something I note. I understand this prose is true to the culture it’s based in, but I don’t use that language. But the language I use that aligns with the prose, made me laugh 😂 The storyline was fairly predictable – celebrity comes home for the holidays and falls in love 😍 You get what’s to be expected 😁😇
Planning to time my reading with the Historical Romance Readathon: Holiday Edition for A Wallflower Christmas 🎄
Adding Lady Sofia’s Christmas With by Grace Burrows, A Mistletoe Christmas by by Eloisa James & Christi Caldwell & Janna MacGregor & Erica Ridley, A Mistletoe Kiss by Eloisa James in A Mistletoe Christmas, and Heiress Alone by Sophie Jordan.
Majority of these 👆🏼 are novellas 😉
The HR Readathon: Holiday Edition post should go live before this one! 😉
Paused ⏸ for another book 📖🤣 Not anything new with me 😇
Might just at to my TBR 😂 https://youtu.be/7DYOEHNQ-8Q at 6:57 Stacy Reid’s It’s Beginning To Look Like Scandal out December 13! 😁 She wrote one of my favorite books 📚 (My Darling Duke) 😉
It’s after Thanksgiving so decided to change up my TBR a bit. Finish A Tale Of Two Cities, the thanksgiving novella then move onto Walking In A Witchy Wonderland then A Tale Of Two Cities (Christmas & New Year’s Eve) 😉 The collection holds 5 novellas, after these holidays I’d have read 4/5. Not your typical series that’s connected by siblings. In here, Aspen and Lincoln are old high school friends. How are the subsequent novellas connected 🤷🏽♀️ Just figured out page length!
Halloween – 74 pages
Thanksgiving – 97 pages
Christmas – 76 pages
New Year’s Eve – 59 pages
Valentine’s Day – 103 pages
Paused ⏸ reading holiday romance for the time being 🤷🏽♀️ Excited to resume! Lots of holiday romances to get back to. For my upcoming readathons:
- Lady Sofia’s Christmas List by Grace Burrows (ebook)
- A Wallflower Christmas by Lisa Kleypas (ebook)
- Heiress Alone by Sophie Jordan (ebook + audio)
- Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night by Stacy Reid (ebook)
- A Mistletoe Christmas (audio)
- Walking In A Witchy Wonderland by Juliette Cross (ebook)+ audio)
- A Tale Of Two Cities by Alexandra Warren (ebook)
Rough list 👆🏼 Still subject to change 😉
Chilly today cold 🥶 Just wanted to stay in bed and read 😂 Will read Lady Sofia’s Christmas List first! Have the ebook 📖
New day, same book 😂 Still reading Lady Sofia’s Christmas List first! Have the ebook Read up to Chapter 4 (17% of the book). Will resume tomorrow. Jumping to my audiobook of My American Duchess.
Resumed Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish. Found the audiobook on Hoopla but it doesn’t let us skip chapters 🤷🏽♀️ Reading is going slowly (1 chapter today)
Since I’ve found Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish on audio, starting a new read today 😉 Stacy Reid’s Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night from It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Scandal, which I’m excited 😊 😬 for 🤗 I felt a push since 2 of my favorite bookstagrammers were talking about Stacy Reid 😁 Sometimes I feel social media talks to me 😂 Realized today, my usual Sunday reading blog-book review-life update combination might not be fone this week 🥲 but it’s okay 👌🏼 because my Historical Romance Readathon: Holiday Edition and Banging In The Snow posts should go live eventually 😉
Realized since I’m not doing a reading blog (too short) and book review, I’ll take notes 📝 here. It’ll just be characters and places (for me too 😋) 👍🏽 shorter chapters
Resumed reading Stacy Reid’s Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night from It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Scandal
I’ll post my notes 📝 after I’ve finished read Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night. 👇🏼

Resumed Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish by Grace Burrows on audio (to rest my eyes 😋)
Started Heiress Alone by Sophie Jordan in How The Duke Stole Christmas. Because the ebook chapters aren’t too long, switched between this and A Wallpaper Christmas by Lisa Kleypas.
