A Mistletoe Christmas by by Eloisa James & Christi Caldwell & Janna MacGregor & Erica Ridley

  • Compromise Under The Mistletoe by Janna MagGreger

Again, this is my Holiday TBR for December

  • Walking In A Witchy Wonderland
  • A Wallflower Christmas
  • A Tale Of Two Cities (Christmas & New Year’s Eve)
  • Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night by Stacy Reid

My holiday TBR is just my TBR for November and December with a holiday twist 😋

Added a book to my TBR! It’s Beginning To Look Like Scandal by Stacy Reid 👇

It’s Beginning to look a lot like Scandal features three very steamy and heartwarming Christmas Romance for your reading delight! reading it in Banging In The Snow 😉

Friday

Decided to prepare my books 📚 Realized the sample version of How The Duke Stole Christmas ebook wouldn’t let me jump around but, fortunately, I got the audiobook on Anyplay 👍🏽 It’ll be chapter 29 😉 Heiress Alone is now not on Goodreads 🥲

Also see Holiday 2021 reading (link to come)

Saturday

Determined to get through my holiday TBR, so will start a little early 🤷🏽‍♀️Still reading Her Wanton Wager and One Night Is Never Enough, but eager to start Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night for #BangingThroughTheSnow and HRReadathon (check out my blog post for #BangingThroughTheSnow)

Also decided won’t be putting #BangingThroughTheSnow on my Instagram story because, as awesome 👍🏽 as the name, its not something I want my nieces and nephews to see

But finishing chapter 14 of One Night Is Never Enough first 😉 Made changes to my # TBR, changed A Mistletoe Christmas to Stacy Reid’s “Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night” from It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Scandal. But need to read My American Duchess by Eloisa James too. Found the audiobook so “Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night” after I make progress 😉

Sunday

Resumed reading! Cam up with a new plot denotion: ⚾️. Since I like rereading those scenes 😋

⚾️ – kiss 😘

⚾️⚾️ – hand/mouth 😋

⚾️⚾️⚾️ – home run 😂

Adding Lady Sofia’s Christmas With by Grace Burrows, A Mistletoe Christmas by by Eloisa James & Christi Caldwell & Janna MacGregor & Erica Ridley, A Mistletoe Kiss by Eloisa James in A Mistletoe Christmas, and Heiress Alone by Sophie Jordan.

Majority of these 👆🏼 are novellas 😉

The HR Readathon: Holiday Edition post should go live before this one! 😉

Paused ⏸ for another book 📖🤣 Not anything new with me 😇

Might just at to my TBR 😂 https://youtu.be/7DYOEHNQ-8Q at 6:57 Stacy Reid’s It’s Beginning To Look Like Scandal out December 13! 😁 She wrote one of my favorite books 📚 (My Darling Duke) 😉

It’s after Thanksgiving so decided to change up my TBR a bit. Finish A Tale Of Two Cities, the thanksgiving novella then move onto Walking In A Witchy Wonderland then A Tale Of Two Cities (Christmas & New Year’s Eve) 😉 The collection holds 5 novellas, after these holidays I’d have read 4/5. Not your typical series that’s connected by siblings. In here, Aspen and Lincoln are old high school friends. How are the subsequent novellas connected 🤷🏽‍♀️ Just figured out page length!

Halloween – 74 pages

Thanksgiving – 97 pages

Christmas – 76 pages

New Year’s Eve – 59 pages

Valentine’s Day – 103 pages

Wednesday

Resumed Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish. Found the audiobook on Hoopla but it doesn’t let us skip chapters 🤷🏽‍♀️ Reading is going slowly (1 chapter today)

Thursday

Since I’ve found Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish on audio, starting a new read today 😉 Stacy Reid’s Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night from It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Scandal, which I’m excited 😊 😬 for 🤗 I felt a push since 2 of my favorite bookstagrammers were talking about Stacy Reid 😁 Sometimes I feel social media talks to me 😂 Realized today, my usual Sunday reading blog-book review-life update combination might not be fone this week 🥲 but it’s okay 👌🏼 because my Historical Romance Readathon: Holiday Edition and Banging In The Snow posts should go live by Tuesday 😉

Realized since I’m not doing a reading blog (too short) and book review, I’ll take notes 📝 here. It’ll just be characters and places (for me too 😋) 👍🏽 shorter chapters

Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish Reading Blog

Check-ins/Updates:

Before I begin:

A few keys 🔑 from the synopsis 1) showed-in = close proximity 2) abandoned baby 🤞🏼 found family 3) the holidays can make you 😝 so seeking out peace before the storm is understandable.

Chapter 6

Always work on getting oriented the 1st 5 chapters 🤔 So far, the story is vastly different from how I anticipated 🤔 It’s intriguing 🤨 Glad that 😁 even early in on the story, 🔑 players are interested. So, even while we’re piecing stuff together, it reinforces how books can be puzzles 🧩 too (meant to be solved 👍🏽) The attraction between Vim and Sopjie grows ♥️ They’re still learning about each other 🤔 Makes me wonder 🤔 how much of their dynamic is because Sophie needs Vim vs. genuine attraction 🤷🏽‍♀️ Vim with Kit 😍 I couldn’t blame Sophie for being attracted to Vim 😂

Vim’s finally agreed to stay a night 👍🏽 Sophie is anxious about being alone with Kit. Learn Vim if from a Baron family and Sophie is from a Duke’s family but the other party doesn’t know 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

Chapter 17

The arrival of Sophie’s brothers (3) rejuvenated the story for me. Finally saw a change of scenery 👏🏽 Just as the relationship between Sophie and Vim gets deeper. Meet new people too! Helps to see Sophie and Vim among people was nice 😊 I love romance and see how there could be complaints about the heavy emphasis on Kit, but I like to see family dynamics too 😁

End of book 📖

So forgot 🤦🏼‍♀️ to check-in… The Wyndam family 👍🏽 Vim-Sophie ♥️ Enjoyed learning more about Vim & Sophie 🧐 Enjoyed the story more after Sophie’s brothers came 🤗 Sophie regretful about Kit and Vim. Christmas wish was granted 😍

This promises to be similar to Home Alone 🤔 The snowed-in trope is fun 😁 Excited to see how this is different from others 🤷🏽‍♀️ Feel like I’ve been reading a lot lately (2/4 this weekend). Looking forward to it! Enjoy comparing and contrasting 😉 👏🏽

End of book 📖

The theme of being left behind 😱 Similarly to Home Alone, robbers are in play. The shorter format may have affected the fun of messing with the robbers 😂 But this contained another fun element: sharing a bed and body warmth 😏 There was additional hijinxs 😂 Bath 🛀 scene 😉😏
