Premise is around a curse. Clara and Hunt MacLarin enter a marriage of convenience, Clara started a runor/lie that ahe was pregnant 🤰 and Hunt’s family is cursed.
Monday: The Curse – Chapter 5
Chapters went by quickly 👏🏽 Premise was fun yet fairly predictable. Enemies to lovers twist, unexpected yet fun 😂 Felt like the 1st 5 chapter were a good orientation 👌🏼
Tuesday: Chapters 6 – 10
Some thoughts 💭😂 1 day ahead now 👏🏽 Clara is taking some time to grow on me. She’s surrounded by people unopposed to deceit, so since she may be at fault, she isn’t alone. Hunt isn’t entirely innocent, he’s deceitful too.
All the Catriona scenes were interesting 🤔 Her ire was understandable but their arrangement made sense.
Using the staff for intel is a slippery slope. She potentially might learn too much.
Wednesday: Chapters 11 – 14
I’m glad the truth is out now 🤗 Understandably so, Hunt is mad 😡 I would be too!
But before that, the wedding happened fairly quickly 🤔 The way Hunt finds out was epic, it happened at the worst time, in the worst way. Again, I’ll bring it back 😂 Talk with Graham foreshadows Clara’s reception. Feel like that would be an additional conflict. Catriona’s role felt smaller than I anticipated, I have a feeling she’ll be back. Also feel she’s behind the fire 🔥 in some way|| Post is taking time (and re-edits to post correctly 😂)

Thursday: Chapters 15 – 18
Can’t say I didn’t see this coming. That wedding morning romp was hot 🥵 🔥 The accidents were signs before any pregnancy test could be taken. Situations were high stakes and adrenaline-filled. Nana’s reception of Clara was understandable, if someone I loved life was in danger, I’d be hostile too. She lost a husband and son to this curse after all. Wasn’t a fan of Hunt’s reaction to the pregnancy 🤰 though. “You killed me” puts ALL the blame on Clara. Not saying she’s faultless but she didn’t climb on herself. If she could, that’d be a nice trick 😉
Clara running away understandable, just bad luck to run into Bannessy. The reveal they are cousins 😂
Friday: Chapters 19 – Epilogue
End of book 📖
Chapters were an okay length! 👏🏽 Plot was very eventful and engaging 👏🏽
Curse broken but what of Marian? Cliffhanger! Still consider this an HEA?! Everything is god with Hunt-Clara, so satisfied in that aspect. Didn’t forsee Clara having difficulty giving birth, we’ve been so focused on Hunt. Glad Nana didn’t go to the dark side 🤗
