In this section, Saint and Evie consummate ๐ Not entirely sure how Saint was releasedโฆ Saintโs plans to blackmail Evie for a repeat ๐ not sure how I feel about it thoughโฆ The chapter breakdowns are conveniently placed for discussion ๐ With a blackmail ploy in play, does that mean lessons are out?
Imprisonment here is a way to indicate power, with it gone, weโre back to patriarchal structure of itโฆ Imprisonment not cool but as plot device I like it ๐ Recs where a heroine imprisons the hero? Weโre at a crossroad I think ๐ค The author can write the plot more towards blackmail (traditional) or the memory of the kidnapping (new power dynamics)
Any book after LOS will be missing something ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ Agreed Saint ๐ feels harder to root for himโฆ I did feel sympathy when he showed his lonely side thoughโฆ

Jessica is a very likeable hero! My 1st blue-stocking ๐ค ๐๐ฝ So thankful for the group and SBU โฅ๏ธ Ahead on the chapters, almost done โ Must admit, canโt remark on the writing โ๏ธ but Dainโs back story ๐ฅฒ As someone bullied (midget ๐คฌ), know it can be scaring + being abandoned by your mom and be strained with your dad ๐ Liked ๐๐ผ how it was compared to The Duke And I ๐๐ฝ I see it now! The gloves ๐ Unexpected but Iโm here for it ๐ Time on page with Jessica & Dain ๐ Look forward to seeing more ๐ These are points from the thread I remember ๐๐

Jessica and Dain are unexplainable attracted to each other ๐ Dain speaking in Italian ๐ Jessica shoots Dain ๐๐คฃ And thatโs how they are to be married ๐ I have a feeling Esmont will continue to be in the story ๐ค I can see the kernels ๐ฟ The shooting was hilarious ๐๐คฃ
As always ๐๐ฝ summary ๐ Thanks for spelling out Esmond and Vawtry ๐๐ผ names are always tricky on audio ๐๐๐ The fact Jess shoots Dain ๐ซ ๐๐คช Exampale of a hero pushing a heroineโs buttons but then he feels bad ๐๐๐ Iโd wear a โsay your prayersโ shirt ๐ ๐๐ Really appreciated the group discussion good ๐ hyping me up ๐๐ binged the book so already done โ

An introspective look at oneself is a believable plot device ๐ค๐คจ Reading in the library ๐ฅฐ Appropriate for a book club ๐๐ Wedding night ๐๐คฌ๐๐ผ๐ฅด Wish Genevieve was in the story more ๐ก Didnโt know Genevieve was a villain ๐ฆนโโ๏ธ before! Complete 180! I like the idea of Summer Of Sequels! ๐ฅฐ
Chapters 13 – 16
In this section, they consummate the marriage ๐ and bare the depth of their feelings for each other ๐ฅฐ Wish got to see more of the wrestling ๐คผโโ๏ธ matchโฆ and ๐๐ to an early escape ๐ Knew Vawtry would come back into play ๐ค but just didnโt anticipate that coming ๐คฏ Charity is flawed. Her part in the plot was unexpected ๐ค
Chapters 17 – 20
Dain takes in Dominick ๐ The resolution between Voltry and the icon felt lack luster
Fatherhood plotline > secret ๐คซ baby in my opinion ๐ค Jessica handled it well ๐๐ Kind of felt the end was rushed too. But I felt where all the characters ended up was satisfying ๐ ๐๐ฝ
End of book ๐
Was a big fan of Jessica throughout the book ๐๐ฝ Dain was damagedโฆ felt he was unlikeable and unlovable ๐ฅฒ because thatโs what he grew up thinking ๐ญ Their love-making scenes werenโt too memorable but the banter was great ๐๐ฝ Liked them but not sure I loved them ๐ค Every reading experience is easily influenced by mood, and so this didnโt hit the spot but was still enjoyable ๐
