Still a SBU pick and loving this season 🥰 From the product description, seems like any other HR 🧐 but it may surprise me 🤷🏽♀️
Monday: Chapters 1 – 4
The beginning didn’t go like I expected 🤔 From what I gathered, Sarah is unfortunately meant to marry Felix Foot but she’d rather lie about being promised. Sarah sees and injured 🤕 unconscious Colin and nurses him back to health. When we first meet Colin, he is captured 😱 but he escapes 😮💨 Feel this will be encountered again later 🧐 Sarah claims to be engaged to Colin 😂🤣 Definitely not hooked on the story YET but intrigued 🤔 Appreciate the action packed in already 🙌🏽 and it’s atypical typical start 🧐
The way the story begins, we see Colin is different from our other heroes this season 🤔 What happened before this book? Colin’s come ons 😏😂 Interesting reading a POV of someone who’s done wrong 🧐 Can’t say I’ve had… Can only imagine 💭…

Tuesday: Chapters 5 – 9
In this section, we see more of Colin as a scoundrel from other’s POV 🤔 because, otherwise I don’t see it… In that sense, feel like I’m missing something not having read the prior books 🤔 Like Sarah as a character, still TBD about Colin but the kids SHIP them 😍
As always, great summary 😊 Get more information about Colin 🧐 mr. Foot 🤬 Agree, we should count. Its like therapy, may be easier to be yourself when your past is unknown…
My notes are wrong 😑🤬🤦🏼♀️ been spelling Foote Foot 😂 In this case, it might be better there’s stuff we don’t know 🤷🏽♀️
Wednesday: Chapters 10 – 14
Mr. Snyder adds an interesting dynamic to the plot. Like the relocation to London. With this relocation, we finally get kissing between Sarah and Colin. Family dynamics always test a relationship, but we see Sarah-Colin aren’t ideal 🤔 Honestly forgot how Sarah’s dad died… How’d it happen?! Foote seems to be out of the story now.
2 months later… Is it me or was there a jump? Food is how some people show their love 🤔 Double fake engagement 🙌🏽 Did I miss desk sex?! 😂 What’s a red herring (besidres a fish)?
Thursday: Chapters 15 – 19
Honestly, mixing this up with
Key similarities are fake identity 🤔 Colin continues being plagued by his past… Foot’s back in the story 😱 The threat he poses is pushing Rose and Colin together, not entirely to their 🤬😏 Seriously getting a better grasp on the old Colin 🧐
Charlotte’s going to add spiciness 🌶 Who’s Charles? Fake dating (when done right) ♥️ Liking the friendship with Jane 🥰 That’s SBU is so clutch 😁 wouldn’t get Colin context otherwise
Foote’s role is bigger than I expected 🤬 I feel there’s more page time given to Foote when there’s another unaddressed conflict 🤔 Reading this with The Marquess Makes His Move and having bouts of 😵😊😂😇 Built up the story forreal! 2 villains 🦹♂️ 🦹♂️ now!
#priorities 🐴 and 🎶 sad 😢 to hear Colin was essentially prohibited from doing music 🎶 nothing like a near death experience 🥰 sucker for letters ♥️ epistolary 😁
Friday: Chapters 20 – 26
3rd act expected bored 😐 but I enjoy Colin & Sarahon page together 😍 Knew we didn’t see the last of Felix Foot 🦹♂️ They exchange I love yous a little late, but I get this miscommunication (just sad it happened after a kidnapping). What if Sarah really died?! 😱 No 3rd act break-up 🙌🏽 and no epilogue 🙌🏽🫶🏼
4/4 for kidnapping so far 🙌🏽 Wedding skipped AGAIN. 🎹 🔥 (just that it happened). The daughter should be addressed in future books 🤔

This story began unexpectedly but eventually followed the typical plot devices… Contains care-taking 👏🏽 and a heroine I enjoyed. This story needs to be read in series order (for best reading experience).

Reminds me of Getaway Girl (start off with a wedding). 💡 Both are weddings gone wrong 🤬 Getaway Girl was good so 🤞🏼 it’s a good sign 😊 Get early exposure to family dynamics 😊 Interesting 🤨 turn of events 😊😇 Learn early on Kieran, Finn, and Dom need to marry and that brings Celeste and Kieran closer 😏 setting up the story 🙌🏼
Common in scoundrel/rake stories: being unworthy 🧐 Glad to know Dom-Willa get a book 😍 Feel its too early to see how I feel about Celeste-Kieran 🧐 But I always love a strong h 👍🏽 Like the comment that note Celeste is a scoundrel 🤫 information ℹ️ is power and the gossip Celeste holds 🤯 That’s why I keep notes on ALL my reading 😂😇 Haven’t DNF’d yet. Likewise, can’t say either way if I’m an Eva Leigh stand (remember the roadtrip to an orgy). Again we encounter the plight of the >2nd son 🤔 Agree, more to Dom-Willa please 🙏🏾 The talk between Dom-Kieran was intense 🤬

Things get 🌶-er between Kieran and Celeste. Baccanel 😊🙌🏼👏🏽 Ratcliff reminds me of London’s Perfect Scoundrel, in that, the h is giving and charitable. Also deals with literacy (appropriate for a book club 😇). Celeste seeing the different facets of Kieran 😍 Lord Mumford getting suspicious 🤔
What measures are Finn and Dom taking? 🤷🏽♀️ True, they are kind to each other 😍

Reread poetry reading scene 🙌🏼😊😍 in this section, Celeste and Kieran get intimate 🙌🏼 Intimate scenes can shed some light on the relationship. In this scene, Kieran shares his poetry and Celeste graciously takes it in 😍 The act of having sex is Celeste taking ownership of her body 🙌🏼 Left off at a ball 😏

This story was nice and cute ☺️ Not too angsty 👍🏽 Liked how the conclusion of Mumford-Celeste wasn’t dramatic 👏🏽 Felt this was a solid conclusion to the season 🙂😁
May not have gotten a kidnap… blackmail 🤬 will do 🤣 Montford did go villainous 😤😡 2nd Dom’s I also 2nd chance 💡 I, also, picked up on Lottie (if I misspelled anything, I’m sorry 🙏🏾). They did kidnap a whole house last book 😂😇 The patriarchy is always the villain ✊🏽
Prefer the beginning of stories 🤔 ♥️ HEAs 😍😆😁 This story had a slow start, but I was invested by the end 🙌🏼 Depending on the book, might be down for spoilers of other books 🤔 🧐

From my understanding, Cecilia is an orphaned ward of her aunt (Mrs. Darlington). She is a young member of The Wisteria Society Of Lady Scoundrels. Cecilia has a hit on her life 😱, Eduardo Luca/Ned/Captain Lightbourne is a hired assassin assigned to Cecilia’s case. Another aspect is houses being taken 🤔 Cecilia thinking of finding her father 🧐 Excited 😆 to learn more 😊

Cecilia’s father becomes a bigger part of the plot 🤔 Ned admits to working both sides 😏 The house 🏡 with the Wisteria Society meeting is stolen 😱 More time with Med and Cecelia on page 🤔 Still nothing but banter and flirting, but end the section at an inn (in one room 😏)

Wednesday: Chapters 11 – 15
This story is confusing 😵💫 not sure I enjoy it amidst all my confusion 🤷🏽♀️ From what I gather: 1) Cecilia is Ned’s target 🎯 2) flying houses 🏡 & stealing houses 🏡 3) Cecilia’s father 🧐 So from 1, we know Ned is the H and Cecilia is the h. We just meet Frederick, Cecilia’s cousin and fiancee 😮 😱 From 2, the house the Wisteria Society met in was stolen 😱 Cecilia wants to get them back 🧐 And 3, Cecilia’s father is responsible for 1) Ned working as a double agent and 2) Cecilia’s kidnapping 😱 Anything else?! Hate to over simplify, just trying to understand
Not familiar with the princess bride 👸 i agree 😌 definitely rereadable.
Thursday: Chapters 16 – 20
This section was easier to understand. Correct me if I’m wrong 🙏🏾 We learn Patrick is 🤬 about not being in the society, Ned has ties to Sila (question 🙋♀️ Spelling?) Can visualize the flying houses better (chase 🙌🏼), resulting in Patrick’s death ☠️ Another “danger” bang but is it?! Things are resolving 🤔
I’m also looking forward to listening to the FM episode! 🙌🏼 Love listening to the podcast episode after I’ve consumed the media! Whether it’s book, show, or movie 🍿 🙌🏼
Friday: Chapters 21 – 26
Last section 🎉 This book was bonkers and had multiple wheels 🛞 spinning throughout 🤔 My overall rating might reflect that (as I wasn’t in the mind space to FULLY enjoy the story). Liked Cecilia, especially as a strong woman ✊🏽
Got the 🎁 house but missed the library 📚 😇 Chaotic live for a chaotic book 🤣
