The set up for this story is funny 😄 😂 Topaz also has a mail order bride element, but they’re different 🤔 Asperger’s can cause an individual to be “socially awkward, kind of like a fish 🐠 out of water. So a mail order bride with language barriers and different social norms can identify with their struggle 🤔 🤨

Khai and Esme growing closet 😍 Khai obviously protective over Esme 🤬 Wonder when Esme will tell Khai about Jade, I’m not a big fan of secrets 🤫 Timely 1st intimate scene 🤔 Esme’s 🤬 now. Kwan helped to move their relationship along! 🤗 Interesting how Khai’s chronic condition isn’t mentioned too much 🤔 Kind of makes me think it isn’t as big of a deal as I was led to believe 🤔

The romance was cute but Khai’s autism wasn’t addressed as much at the end of the story 🤷🏽♀️ Great start 👍🏽 I’d say this was ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️.5 for me, which was still an enjoyable read for me ♥️Asian American 🇺🇸 representation ✌🏽

Love this series 💜 Excited I’m almost caught up! Remember reading My Darkling Duke, but nothing specific 🤷🏽♀️ So rereading it and taking notes 📝 this time 👍🏽 Already read about Kitty 🐈⬛ and Mary Ann, so now it’s Ophelia’s time 😂

The epilogue 😍 and how it influenced Niell 👍🏽 I get it… Look 👀 forward to scenes in the Asylum 😁 Look forward to learning more about Devlin, Riordan, and Rhys 🤗 Getting a grasp on the story: Ophelia’s family is having money 💰 problems 🥲 Devlin (Niall) is rich 🤑 He’ll pursue Ophelia with her not knowing he’s Niall 😂😏🤔 Not a fan of lies but love a hero 🦸♂️ 🥰 The catalyst for the story: money 💰 It’s true money 💴 makes the world 🌎 go around 🤔 Liked that Niall re-entering Ophelia’s world wasn’t dragged on… I feel it make for a more enjoyable experience 😁 Devlin has formally introduced himself and Ophelia finds she is enthralled with the thought 💭 of seeing him 😏 Devlin keeps denying he loves Fifi, but everyone knows he does 😂

Really feel the friendship between Niall and Fifi 😍 Their intimate scenes are 🔥 though 😁The class difference plot is really felt 🥲 Niall is really reminding me of Dorian from Kerrigan’s The Highwayman. Loved the childhood friends in that one and it in here! Ophelia is slowly finding out more about Sally Martin and Devlin 😍 is a part of her learning more ☺️ 🤦🏼♀️ Got carried away 😇 A fitting end to the Sally Martin arc 🤔 A feel good scene with Devlin 😍 befittingly there ☺️ Ophelia is starting to really believe the improbability of her & Devlin 🥲

The 3rd act is fairly predictable but where else can a class difference go?! Still ♥️ Devlin/Niall & Ophelia/Fifi. Just want them to get the HEA already 😊
